Our mission is to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis. Since opening in 2018, we’ve helped over 4,300 suicidal men access free, life-saving therapy at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle. 75% of deaths by suicide are men, but suicides are preventable. Donate today to help save lives.

Story

We are the Average Joe's of Liverpool, just ordinary people with ordinary lives, who live and work in this incredible city. We are students, lecturers, PT's, dog groomers, delivery drivers, bakers, all with a common goal.

Many of us have experienced the devastating impact of poor mental health and male suicide. Because of this, we have chosen to raise awareness and funds to support a local charity in memory of Omar Sayeed Iqbal, and our friends, colleagues and loved ones who we have lost to suicide. James' Place offers a safe, friendly, non-clinical environment where suicidal men are cared for and respected.

"At James' Place, our mission is to stop men dying by suicide. Yet, in the UK suicide is still the single leading cause of death of men under 50. We believe that no man should face a suicidal crisis alone. James' Place provides free, professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis to help them find hope for the future".

We are the Average Joe's, thank you for your support.
