Defeat Meningitis Once and For All

Trek Kilimanjaro with Discover Adventure 2021 · 20 August 2021 to 29 August 2021 ·
Meningitis is the second biggest infectious killer of children under the age of five, affecting more than 5 million people worldwide every year. It can kill you within 12 hours and is responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined.
Though a preventable disease, vaccines for meningitis aren't always affordable and they don't exist for all variants. You can still catch and die from meningitis anywhere in the world. Students like myself are the second most "at-risk" of catching it and one in four students in the United Kingdom carries the bacteria.
Meningitis Research Foundation's work is providing better access to vaccines and health systems that can diagnose and treat children. Furthermore, those who survive get the support they need afterwards. With the help of your contribution, we can make meningitis a global health priority. A donation today can save lives tomorrow.
