Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the Donald Cameron Memoriam Fund.  Funds raised will go to support the work of Alzheimer Scotland in Ayrshire.

Former Chairman and Honorary President of the Club, Donald passed away a short time ago after a long battle with Alzheimer's.  He joined the board in 1987 and became Chairman in 2005, serving until 2008 when he had to step down due to ill health.  He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home.  He is survived by wife Marian and children Lachlan, Donald and Fiona.

Alzheimer Scotland deliver services and activities to help people with a diagnosis of dementia to be active and involved in their communities for as long as possible, and support their carers and families.

Ayr Utd are specifically involved in a Football Memories group where people can come along and chat about their experiences supporting the club, and remember former players and matches in a safe supported space.  The group meets regularly and if you, or someone you know would like to come along, please contact Jim Baird on 01563 590472.
