This page was set up to raise money for a great cause, MacMillan Cancer Support. Fans of Barnsley FC will be aware that the owner, Patrick Cryne, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Fans groups are showing their support for Patrick by lighting up their phones during the forthcoming home matches against Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest. My wife Julie was diagnosed with cancer four years ago, but after extensive treatment she is now well on the way to recovery. I know from experience that MacMillan Cancer Support are a great help, both emotionally and financially, to cancer sufferers, their friends and their families. If you will be lighting up your phone at Oakwell, please donate to this great cause; if you won't be at Oakwell for either match then please donate anyway - it's a great cause!
