We will do whatever it takes to help you live life as fully as you can

Story

BLM’s commitment to CSR goes beyond our pro bono legal adviceand support for our charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.  It touches on the community, our marketplace, the environment and our workplace.  Itcovers our commitment to recycling and using fair trade coffee, and includesworking with disadvantaged young adults in our local communities.

At BLM Glasgow we also support a local Food Bank and participatein "Save the Children" Christmas Jumper Day, as well as taking partin Pretty Mudder for Breast Cancer Research.

When you have cancer, you don’t just worry about what willhappen to your body, you worry about what will happen to your life.

Macmillan, know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everythingand they are here to support people through this.  From help with money worries and advice aboutwork, to someone who’ll listen if you just want to talk, they’ll be there.  They’ll help you make the choices you need totake back control, so you can start to feel like yourself again.

No one should face cancer alone.  MacMillan wants to reach and improve thelives of every one of those people.  BLMGlasgow is helping them achieve this goal.

BLM Glasgow raised over £17,000.00 for MacMillan during2014-2015.  This was largely thanks to 22wonderful runners who took part in the Edinburgh Marathon and to the rest ofour office for supporting them....as well as family and friends.  We would like to say a HUGE thank you toeveryone that helped us reached this mammoth amount.

Our target this financial year is to raise as much as possiblefor MacMillan...hopefully smashing the huge amount raised last year! We wouldall be hugely grateful for your support in reaching our goal.

2016-2017

BLM Glasgow will be participating in the Big Coffee Morning2016 with a twist....Coffee and Tea themed Cocktail Party.  We will serve White Russians, Green-TeaInfused Gin Bubbles, Black Russians and Kir Royales.

We our competing in TWO BIG Challenges this year...Hadrian'sWall and the Color Run.

Hadrian’sWall

A number of people across our offices took part in the GlobalCorporate Challenge this year.  Given thehuge success of this challenge we considered the best way to continue thelegacy of GCC was to take part in a MacMillan Walking Challenge this year.

On Saturday 25 June 2016 Seventeen of us are completing a 25mile hike along the mighty Hadrian's Wall UNESCO World Heritage Site.  We will walk past old Roman forts, settlements and stunning scenery.

Color Run

On Sunday 17 July 2016 Seventeen people are taking part in TheColor Run Presented by Skittles.  This isthe original, largest and most unique 5k run in the world, celebratinghealthiness, happiness, friendship and having the time of your life!!

We will start the day in a white t-shirt, getting covered fromhead to toe in a rainbow of colours at each kilometre of the course.  You don't even have to run…you can choose towalk, skip or dance your way around if you feel like it.
