The Wren Project provides free, ongoing, 1-1 listening support for people struggling with a diagnosis of autoimmune disease. Our support goes beyond the medical symptoms to focus on the emotional, social, and mental impact of life with AI disease.

Story

Every year as part of the BYCN UK Graduate Scheme, the Bouygues graduates take part in a challenge to raise money for a charity of their choice. This year the graduates are taking part in the Snowdonia Crossing Challenge, a three-day cycle, hike, and kayak totalling 80 miles across Snowdonia including summiting Mount Snowdon.

We aim to raise £7000, which will be match funded by the company. Our chosen charity this year is The Wren Project:

Founded in 2020 by Kate Middleton, The Wren Project provides
one-to-one support for people struggling with complex and chronic autoimmune diseases for whom psychosocial support is absent, insufficient, or hard to access. Kate’s personal battle with Lupus, inspired the creation of the charity and it has developed into a robust programme that provides individuals, recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, with listening, psychosocial, and befriending support.

The Wren Project has built a community which helps individuals feel less marginalised as they navigate a new diagnosis and the emotional challenges that it can bring. Supporting people to take back their lives.
