Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon · 19 June 2011

Hope House and Ty Gobaith gives every local child with a life-threatening condition and their family access to professional care and improves their quality of life from the point of diagnosis.

Story

Brook and I have signed up to do our first triathlon!  In doing this we are looking to raise money for a charity called Hope House Children's Hospice who provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing a child.

The Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon involves a 200m swim, 4km bike ride and a 1.5km run!

The reason I am doing this is because Fergus, a friend of ours from Bickerton School (we also went to nursary together and played rugby together at Whitchurch), died just before Christmas after battling with cancer for nearly two years.  His parents told me that the charity had given him some fantastic support and also helped them enormously.

The other reason is because Dad said we could go swimming before school as part of the training and I love riding my bike anyway!

I have never done anything like this before and am a little nervous so please can you sponsor me!

Thanks

Barney and Brook
