3 Peaks Challenge - CVOC

Embrace Child Victims of Crime (CVoC) is a national children’s charity that focuses all its time on helping children, young people and families recover from the effects of crime. Our specialist services help them recover from their trauma, rebuild their lives and help them on their healing journey.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Now before you read further please bare in mind that my normal climb is generally to up to bed of an evening.....

A few friends and I are looking to undertake the 3 Peaks Challenge (yes the three highest national peaks in under 24 hours) in an effort to raise money on behalf of Child Victims of Crime.

Itinerary for the Challenge

Start Friday 2nd Sept at 5pm and start the climb of Ben Nevis
10pm Finish Ben Nevis and drive to Scafell Pike (approximately 6 hours)
4am Arrive and start climbing Scafell Pike
9am Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to Snowdon (approximately 4 hours).
1pm Arrive and start climbing Snowdon
5pm Finish Snowdon, and complete challenge, hopefully if still alive and kicking by then!!!

Our crew of Intrepid Explorers (or mainly old rugby players)

Huw Griffiths, Simon Logan, Steve Dodd, Nick Robinson, Cliff Green, Jason Gunn, Richard Chase and Me.

Child Victims Of Crime strive to;

"To relieve poverty, sickness, trauma and the distress arising there from among children resident in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man who have suffered the same as a result of any criminal offence committed by any person or through any means whatsoever." and aim

"To promote children's health and welfare, encourage their social inclusion and community involvement and to seek to develop their personal safety."
