On September 7th 2014 I will be taking part in a version of a Triathlon that I've invented. It involves a round of golf, a 5 set tennis match and a game of football (full size 11 a side) played back to back. It will take about 12 hours from start to finish (4 hours for golf, 4 or 5 hours for the tennis, 90 minutes for football plus travelling time) and I should cover about 11 or 12 miles all in.

I want to raise money for SANDS and do more to help the great work they do. Myself and my girlfriend Christine lost our first child Junior to Trisomy 18 in February 2011 and our second child Oliver was stillborn at 34 weeks in April 2014. We received great support from SANDS on both occasions and they do wonderful work without asking for anything in return. The provide memory boxes, equipment for hospital rooms and support for grieving parents and their families and friends.

They also help fund research into the causes of stillbirth and short life baby deaths. 17 babies a day, stillbirth and short life, die in the UK. That's over 6000 a year and that death % is amongst the highest in the Western world. Anything you can donate will be very much appreciated and will help support a lot of people who need it.
