Dr Strohn is a specialist in the history of the German army in the 20th century, with a special interest in the First World War. He is a senior lecturer in the Department of War Studies, Sandhurst and Senior Research Fellow in Modern War Studies at the University of Buckingham. He holds a commission in the Bundeswehr.  He has published widely on the German army of the First World War and interwar years edited the companion on the Somme commissioned for the  British Army centenary staff ride to the Somme in 2016. This is a chance to hear about the German experience.

Our hosts will be the Fusiliers Museum and the event includes a sandwich lunch, a glass of wine and the opportunity to network in the exclusive surroundings of the Fusiliers mess in HM Tower of London.
