Scottish families are a priority for Kidney Kids Scotland supporting them when they most need it. The Charity supports Scottish hospitals supplying them with much needed equipment and funding for posts recognised as being essential Since July 2000 the Charity has given away over £2 miliion pounds

Story

The reason we’re supporting Kidney Kids Scotland is because Joe, the son of our Operations Manager, Stuart Alexander, was born with a blockage in both of his kidneys, which resulted in one non-functioning and being removed when he was 4 years old.

Joe is now 9 and has had two further attempts to fix the drainage problem in his remaining kidney, but with only partial success.  He suffered acute renal failure, which was reversed but left him with his remaining kidney swollen and with chronic kidney disease. This may well result in him needing a kidney transplant at a later date. He is
a terrific wee boy who has put up with all these things very bravely and we would be delighted if you could help not just Joe but the other boys and girls who suffer from kidney disease in Scotland.
