I will be running the Birmingham 10k in order to help raise funds to build a new Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Cardiff, where I was treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The Bone Marrow Transplant Team in Cardiff deserve a unit to fit the level of expertise, passion and commitment they give to their patients. The current one isn't fit for purpose!! Patients don't have access to simple necessities like showers and toilets therefore having to flannel wash and use bed pans for 1 up to 6 months (or however long until safe to leave isolation); many upgrades are needed.

I am running this 10k in memory of my friend Emily, she was a hero to many, and Dr.Wilson our consultant was hers. Therefore to see this well needed Bone Marrow Transplant built would be a dream come true. #WilsonWard

This 10k may not be a marathon, but I hate running with a PASSION, so the struggle in training for this 10k will all be worthwhile in helping Emily's vision come true.
