Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my first ever JustGiving page.

Inspired by Captain Tom Moore who recently raised over £30Million for Our NHS by walking around his garden 100 times, I thought I would do something equally as exciting and rewarding by raising some money for Our NHS myself.

I'm just 2 years old and, with the help of my parents, I am collecting pretty pebbles every day on my walk with Mumma and Daddy around the beautiful harbour where we live here at Kingholm Quay, the Crichton Gardens and other places where we quietly exercise.

I will choose one pretty pebble each day and put it in a special basket - but once the Lockdown restrictions have been lifted in their entirety - when life is back to normal - I am going to make sure every single pretty pebble is returned to the harbour just as nature has intended.

I love pretty pebbles but I also love Our NHS so I thought this was the perfect challenge for me!

Since starting this adventure I have received over 200 wonderful video messages of thanks for those who donated from famous people such as actors Dame Judi Dench, Miranda Hart, Miriam Margolyes and Stephen Fry - Ant and Dec and the wonderful John Barrowman! -and former Wales International rugby player Shane Williams MBE. I also received a lovely message from former Prime Minister Gordon Brown!

WHO ARE THE CHARITY?  The NHS Charities ‘National Covid-19 Urgent Appeal’ was launched to acknowledge and support NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by Covid-19 across the country. The campaign was put together in liaison with national health service bodies, NHS Charities Together member charities and board.

The money raised is funding grants to help NHS charities support NHS staff, volunteers and patients in  funding well-being packs, in addition to the cost of travel, parking and accommodation for NHS staff and volunteers.

WHO BENEFITS?  The charities benefitting can be found at www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk/meet-our-members/
