Story
I know it's not long since #FaceBreak but for those who know me understand I love a good challenge, especially one in support of Blind Veterans UK. Well here's the next one and I've managed to drag some other poor souls (family, friends & work colleagues......sorry to you all) into it. Pen Y Fan is the highest mountain in South Wales. The challenge is to climb Pen-y-fan 10 times in 24 hours. To put this challenge in perspective, this means over 40 miles in total, and those that complete the full 10 climbs will have achieved the same overall height as Everest!
The event will begin at 4pm on Sat 13th May (my birthday - lucky me) meaning the climb continues throughout the night.
We will EACH attempt to complete the 10 climbs within the 24hours. I will also be guiding the very fit and impatient Darren Blanks (Blind Veteran).
Those taking part: Craig Bancroft (my dad) , Marcus Bancroft (uncle), Darren Blanks (Blind Veteran), Helyn Salt (friend), Ceri Stephens (brother in law), Jon Furness, Maj Grant Thimsen and Col Ed Heal (work colleagues).
We are very fortunate to have the aid of many who have volunteered to do tasks such as run our support tent, arrive at midnight to do a couple of laps with us through the dark hours or visit to offer moral support throughout the event - thank you, its means a lot to us all.
Donate if you can to recognise our efforts to support such an amazing charity. Thanks for your time x
