Care After Combat is to help to maintain and promote camaraderie in the Veterans community for those feeling vulnerable or at unrest with society. We look to provide professional assistance where possible for the well-being of Veterans and their family.

Story

January 9th 2018 - the day our lives changed forever.

Unexpectedly, we suffered the loss of a very close family member. My older brother Mark Hawker. He was just 33 years old, had his whole life ahead of him.

Mark was an amazing person, always so light hearted and fun. He would personally go out of his way to try and help anyone. Mark was always the joker, and up for a laugh. (The best types of people)

Mark was in the armed forces for a long period of time. He was a welsh guard, and when he came out of the army, Care after Combat were on hand to help him in anyway they could. They are an amazing charity, that more people need to be made aware of. Not only have they helped support Mark but since his parting they have been a large part of our family.

Mark turns 34 in July and in honour of his memory I am aiming to walk pen-y-fan along with close friends and family, to help celebrate Mark’s life while raising money for a great charity.

All donations are welcomed for such a great cause. - I hope we are all making you proud Mark.

Lots of Love
