We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

Over the Easter holidays, my Grandad (Nigel Kippin) and I are planning to complete the three peaks challenge in under 24 hours. My Nanna (Jeni Barnacle) will be providing our support team/ driver for the challenge.

This challenge has always been a dream of mine because after completing numerous other peaks in Scotland this challenge seems to be the one to top them all. This challenge will also be a great way to make forgettable memories celebrating my 18th birthday

Our challenge will take place from the evening of Wednesday 12th April to Thursday 13th April. We are really determined to complete it within 24 hours.

We are using the challenge to support the Doddie Weir Foundation. We want to raise money for this foundation because rugby is a big part of mine and Nigel’s lives.

Nigel played for Norwich Rugby Club from his youth until retirement due to injury at thirty-one.  I have played since a child and continue to play for Diss Rugby Club, Eastern Counties U18s, and Norfolk ladies.

Supporting the Doddie Weir Foundation (https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk/) is important to us because Motoneuron disease is quite unknown and affects rugby players. Hopefully, the money we raise will support the research needed to understand more about motor neuron disease.

We hope to raise as much as possible before and during our challenge. I will post updates on our training and also during our challenge.

Thank you to everyone who donates it will be really appreciated!
