I'm getting my breeches out again ... ok so they are some way off fitting but I have the most massive incentive to get fit and slim back into them...

I've been lucky enough to be one of 12 other riders selected to ride at the Knavesmire Course at York Racecourse on 17th June 2017 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, kindly sponsored by Best Western Hotels.

I lost the Best Mum in the world to cancer far too early at only 67 years old seven years ago and, no doubt due the pressure of caring for Mum so wonderfully well for so many years, my lovely Dad died of heart disease 3 months later - just 3 months before Harry, now 6 years old was born. Harry and his brother Freddie (8) think Mum & Dad are on the Moon and it's an awesome thought especially when it's particularly bright in the sky.  I can't wait for my boys to watch me ride and I know my parents will be with me every stride of the race.  

So many people are touched by cancer, 1 in 2 will get cancer in our lifetime and Macmillan do such a wonderful job to support those who need it.  So please help me to help raise as much money as I can.
