In 2017 my Mum was diagnosed with facial palsy, a condition that causes paralysis on one side of the face due to nerve damage. We are thankful to Facial Palsy UK, the NHS and physiotherapy for the ongoing help she receives. 

Although these services are evolving and word is spreading, this debilitating condition is still not widely recognised by healthcare professionals/GPs and more awareness and support is still needed. 

On 31st March (coincidentally Mother’s Day) I will be running 10k for Facial Palsy UK. I’m doing this for my Mum and all the sufferers of this condition, as well as supporting this small charity’s great work.  Thank you!
