London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My grandad on my mum’s side passed away from Alzheimer’s when I was 2 days old. I never got to meet him, and I’m not sure he understood that I’d been born. My nan and my mum keep his memory alive though. My grandad on my dad’s side also suffered from dementia in the years before he died, and I want to run the marathon to raise money in memory of both of them to support the Alzheimer’s Society with all the incredible work they do.
