Ben and Rob's Cycle for Brain Tumour Support

Cycle for Brain Tumour Support · 13 October 2021
For those of you who dont know my Grandad, Robin Schols, got diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. Since beating it he has become a keen runner and has accomplished some great achievements. One of which being completing London marathon in 2 hours 53 minutes! Inspired by his achievements and wanting to give my support to Brain Tumour Support I have decided to do the following event.
The event is to cycle the distance that Rob has managed to run from the beginning of the year until the start day of the event (13th October). He is currently on 1289 miles and is predicted to do roughly 1500 miles by 13th October.
Sounds pretty straight foward, however I have set my self some rules. I can not leave the event area until all the miles are complete. In this area will be my bike on a turbo trainer and a basha (waterproof sleeping shelter). When I am not crunching the miles on the bike I will be resting in my basha. To add to the challenge of the event I wanted to be living of rations however they are proving difficult to get hold of so I will provide update on what I will be doing for feeding at a later date.
When I told Rob that I was planning on doing this event he told me that he would like to join me on the challenge and help me with the miles! Together I think it will take roughly 5 days to complete.
