Story
I'm raising money to support an amazing charity that supports local communities and people facing multiple disadvantages, including homelessness: 'Charity Begins at Home', a UK registered food distribution charity. Having volunteered with them for several years now, I can attest to the impact they make. They are a truly unique organization, which puts smiles on the faces of service users and volunteers alike.
The organization, which runs a mobile food bank every Friday and mid-week at Charing Cross in the heart of London, relies solely on volunteers and donations. We look after 200 people in need by providing them with fresh warm meals, water, smoothies, yoghurts, sandwiches, ready meals, crisps, chocolates, biscuits, fruits, sleeping bags, clothes and plenty of other items.
