Story

Lorraine Bennison passed away unexpectedly on 22nd December 2016. She had battled with cancer for almost two years since being diagnosed in Jan 2015 with breast cancer and secondary in her bones. Towards the end of 2016 she was becoming short of breath. After some tests they found fluid on her lungs and heart so performed an operation to drain which went well. However once in the recovery room the staff realised the lungs were not working as expected. They realised that the cancer had spread round her lungs stopping them working properly and it had also started on her liver. She passed away peacefully in no pain with her husband and two daughter by her side. We are raising money for the HDU who provided the initial care after diagnosis and the CICU who looked after her in her final days.
