Story
Hello!
So almost 5 years ago two special people lost their lives. One was my cousin, Michael (who was just a few months younger than me) and the other was a very special little baby boy named Jack, who sadly I never got to meet. He was only in this world for 20 minutes and he was little brother to Lewis (now 7). I grew up with Lewis' Mum, Emma - seeing her every Saturday at band practice from the age of 10. We are still close friends now and a day doesn't go by that I don't think of Emma, Jeremy (her husband), Lewis & Jack. 🖤 So, I am letting my husband shave my hair off in memory of Mike & Jack. My Auntie & Uncle think Mike would've been happy with the charity I have chosen to support.
Some of my friends say I'm brave, but I don't agree. By shaving my hair off I will be helping raise awareness of Ronald McDonald House Southampton who do such a wonderful job.
What will I do with my hair? I'll be posting it off to The Little Princess Trust.
Let's face it, it's much easier than running or walking a marathon, jumping out of an aeroplane or cycling 111 miles so I don't consider myself brave. I'll leave the mad stuff to my fit husband and fit friend Helen (who have walked a few marathons for charity), my "Ironman" sister and my marathon crazy brother!
When - Sunday 1st October
Where? The Swan Shopping Centre, Eastleigh SO50 5SF
Time - 12 o'clock (but I'll be there from 11am).
Please come and join me & the Ronald McDonald team if you can. I'd love as many friends there as possible! 💇🏻
