Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This December will mark ten years since my Mum passed away. Sue Pears suffered with a brain tumour and lost her hair due to radiotherapy treatment. Towards the end of her life, she visited and stayed at Barnsley Hospice. Whilst there she was given excellent care and treated with dignity and respect. Barnsley Hospice also supported our family with bereavement and counselling.

So on Friday 10th November, I will be shaving my head to raise money for Barnsley Hospice, dedicating the event to the memory of Sue and remembering what a remarkable woman and Mum she was.

The hair that is shaved will be donated to The Little Princess Trust, which make wigs for children that have lost their hair because of cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to read my page, details of how the money raised may be used can be found below.

£5.00 could help to fund the cost of craft materials for patients in our Day Therapy Unit

£26 could help to cover the cost of one hour of exceptional care on the Inpatient Unit

£52 could help to cover the cost of bereavement sessions to help family or friends through difficult times
