From August 17th 2016 we will both be on tenterhooks with the remaining members of our 6 person team to get the call to head to Dover.... from here we will take it turns swimming an hour at a time until we touch land in France! This can be in the region of 12 hours plus, where we will encounter one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, changing tides, water temperatures around 15 degrees, jelly fish, potential of sea sickness.... all this in mind we a relishing and looking forward to the challenge!

We are raising money for Aspire because of the fantastic work they do changing peoples lives on a daily basis. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury; it can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life.  Aspire exists because there is currently no cure. 

The money raised will go towards providing housing, technology, transport and other means of making a spinal cord suffer's life that little bit easier.
