Bethany's running the London Marathon 2023!

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
Welcome to my Just Giving page.
I am Bethany Graham, a 31-year-old healthy, happy and loving wife, mummy, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. Not everyone is fortunate enough to say that.
I would like to help made a difference towards the earliest possible detection and diagnosis of bowel cancer to enable better treatment and survival.
My Auntie, Jo Franklin died aged 58 from stage 4 bowel cancer last October. She died just three weeks after her diagnosis, which had been missed by herself and her doctor for several years.
The trauma of losing my bubbly Auntie Jo so very suddenly, has changed my family forever. We are aware that early diagnosis and treatment would have made a difference.
I am fortunate to have been chosen by the Bowel Cancer UK to join their team and participate in the London Marathon in April 2023. In return I am committed to raising as much money as I can for them, and I feel passionately about increasing awareness and diagnosis of Bowel Cancer.
I know the training ahead of me will be a huge challenge especially working and balancing my family life. We have a gorgeous baby son, who currently enjoys two hourly parties each night. So, training will definitely be a challenge in itself.
I gave birth to him very prematurely and only two days after my wonderful Auntie Jo passed away. I cherish watching him develop and like to imagine a world ahead for him, where bowel cancer will be a very much lower cause of death and where there is more awareness about it.
I really hope you might be able to support me in helping to make a difference to someone, somewhere as I am extremely determined to achieve my goal
Thank you.
