Starting on the 12th of June, James and Flora will be tackling the 9-day 700-mile cycle ride from Leeds to Prague. This means cycling anywhere from 70-100+ miles a day across the Yorkshire hills, dutch flats, German countryside and Czech mountains - with only a camping mat and sleeping bag to rest their bodily saddle sores. 

James had to be bribed to finally ride without stabilisers, aged 11, but since recently developing a mild obsession with Strava, he has rekindled his love affair with lycra and has been inspired by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. Flora's cycling history is somewhat shorter. She bought Bluey, her beloved road bike, in June 2018 for her commute to work. Since then, she has found joy in riding the flats of Norfolk and great struggles (*tears) in tacking the hills of Yorkshire. It is fair to say that this is a colossal challenge for both Flora and James, neither of which could ever class themselves as 'cyclists'. 

Daily, we will be cycling further than we have ever cycled in our lives. Why? We are taking on this mammoth challenge in aid of Eating Matters (Norfolk Eating Disorders Association). This amazing charity helps individuals regardless of their weight. It allows those isolated individuals, struggling alone and discarded by other services to combat their troubles before they reach a dangerous stage. Both James and Flora can assure you this is a cause worth cycling 700 miles for!

We will be so grateful for any donation, regardless how big or small, in order to help us reach our £1000 target....and if we haven't convinced you enough, if it is exceeded, we will ride on our final day in our Leeds University swimwear!
