This ride will mark my 3rd Anniversary with Mothers' Union - and I am ever more inspired by the quiet way members, working as volunteers, make a difference in their communities, one life at a time.

So, whilst I cannot "put back the tides of time" at 60, completing this ride, as well as giving me a very real personal challenge, can help our members to continue to make a difference where it really matters.

For example, for £1000, or £10 per mile, 8 people can be trained to teach members of their communities in Ethiopia to read and write, transforming their lives, and their ability to support their families, for ever.
