Lake District 5 peak challenge · 25 April 2020

Women’s Aid Federation of England is the national charity working against domestic abuse. Alongside our campaigning, training, and advocacy projects, our direct support services, including our Live Chat Helpline, support thousands of women and their children to escape abuse every year.

Story

*CHALLENGE RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 3RD 2020)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. (Created 13.01.20)

So I don’t know exactly what I’ve signed myself up for - but now I’ve registered, I’m fully committed . . .

On April 25th, I will partake in a 5 peak challenge in the Lake District which consists of Rossett Pike, Allen Crags, and Scafell Pike. (May I add, Scaffell Pike is the highest mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level to be precise)

The charity I have chosen to support, is Women’s Aid. Women’s Aid is a grassroots federation working together to provide life saving services and build a future where domestic violence is not tolerated . . .

I am doing this challenge on behalf of my mum, my sister and I celebrating 9 years of freedom this coming April, and accepting closure on a chapter of our lives we were once unsure would come to an end.

What a better way to celebrate freedom than from the top of a mountain!

With 101 days to become as physically and mentally fit as I can possibly be, please support me on this journey.

Thank you in advance! ❤️
