Story
My lovely dad would have been 100 this year on March 29th. 5 years after losing him me and my daughter, Holly are commemorating his 100th year by taking part in the Birmingham memory walk. Any donation, however small would be so appreciated to help win in the fight against this horrible disease. Watching someone you love, suffering with, and then losing them from this disease is heartbreaking. My mom is also now suffering from this vile disease.
I look forward to the day when we can say, "no one will ever suffer from Dementia again!"
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Gail xx
Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you dont need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. So, who will you walk for? #MemoryWalk
