As you most of you know by now my little brother Lloyd Newell (Lloydy) was fatally wounded whilst on operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on 16th June 2011. Lloydy is my hero, and a hero and an inspiration to so many. A Husband and a Father to a beautiful daughter. He loved his job, and made the ultimate sacrifice doing it. His passing left an enormous hole in the life's and hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was a special man, a man who always went a little further, the best I've ever known. 

I've ran the Virgin Money London Marathon for the ABF The Soldiers' Charity for the previous two years and have been very fortunate to be offered a place in this years BMW Berlin Marathon once again by the ABF, a charity I'm very honoured and proud to run for and support.
