I've already participated in an Xmas Open Water Swim, A Paint Run, A Bubble Run, A Santa Run, and A Half Marathon. So when somebody approached me to do A Mud Run. I searched online, and "The World Famous Maldon Mud Race" popped up. I'd never heard of it, but with entries limited to 300, I panic bought, and entered without reading the rules properly.

So what is It? 

It's a race through the mud and water of the river Blackwater at Maldon in Essex, at low tide, where upto 300 competitors race to be the first to complete a 400 metre dash over the river bed.....and to make this even more difficult, it'll be in fancy dress. It's by far the craziest event I have entered, and likely to be one of the toughest by all accounts. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
