We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I'm taking part in the 'Cycling Round the World Challenge' which is organised by Lloyds Banking Group to support it's Charity of the Year - Alzheimer's Society. The concept of cycling arround the world is that teams of 6 all over the UK will cycle together for 24 hours to cover the equivalent distance around the globe.

One in three people over 65 will develop dementia - robbing them of their memories and lives. Every year another 100,000 people develop the condition and there is no cure. Many more thousands will find themselves caring for a family member with little training or support. The money raised by this challenge will go directly to helping those people impacted by this condition.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
