Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a climber who was a member of the Paisley Hillwalking Club, I developed a reputation for being a "not getting to the top" kinda guy. I hated walking and the prospect of "bagging a summit" just for the sake of it seemed ridiculous to me. I vowed I would never do the munros. So here I am, Not Doing The Munros. I will be walking to almost the top of every one of the 282 munros in Scotland, and when I get withing sight of the summit, I turn around and come back down, summit avoidance if you like.
I have decided to try to do this by the time I am 55 which will mean that I need to do approximately 2 a week. I will be doing this for my chosen charity, Finding Your Feet. This charity is very close to my heart. It was set up by my friend Corinne who lost both hands and feet after developing septicemia last year. Her story is an inspiration to all and she has now dedicated her life to helping others to find their feet.
I have a blog called The MunroBlagger and you can find it here http://munroblagger.wordpress.com where you can follow my progress. If you would be so kind as to donate and support my chosen charity, you may prefer, rather than a single donation, to put a few pence in every time I complete each Munro.
Thanks again for reading this.
