Story
Dr Bob Grant, a retired GP from Fife, underwent treatment for
cancer in his leg when he was 14 years old. Subsequently he had an
amputation of that leg in 2002 and is now mobile on crutches.
His 117 mile walk
starts at 9.30 am on Saturday 13th June 2015 at the Kelpies, near Falkirk, and
will take him past the Falkirk Wheel and on to to the Forth Road Bridge. The
route will then follow the Fife Coastal Path www.fifecoastalpath.co.uk to the Tay Bridge and on to Dundee where he will be
joined by a rideout of Harley Davidson motorcycles from all over
Scotland.
The walk will finish at the Dundee Maggie's Centre at
3.30pm approx on Sunday 21st June. During the walk a visit will be
made to the spectacular Maggie's Centre in Kirkcaldy. Further
details of the walk can be found on www.bobswalk.co.uk
