Boots HR Miles 4 Macmillan · 8 September 2010
Update from 7th September...
It was a successful, rain free, day which clocked up 630 miles and raised £210.55. HR is confident that they will reach their target of 1,000 miles in September and would like to thank all those who took part on the day.
A very big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and continue to support HR’s ‘Miles’ challenge.
Tilt your head (photo not load right way up!) to see Trish King , from PeoplePoint taking part in the M4M challenge whilst on holiday on a cruise! Thanks for the effort and photo, Trish.

HR’s Ambition for 2011 ……..
* 1000 MILES to be clocked up during the first 2 weeks of September
* 1000 HOURS to be donated to Macmillan by encouraging colleagues to give their time to Macmillan
* 1000 VOICES as HR encourages colleagues to be advocates for Macmillan
On the 7 September we start clocking up the miles in earnest with a 3 or 5 mile walk/bike ride, starting and finishing at Boots Thane Road Gate. There will be 2 walks/bike rides leaving at 10:00 or 14:00hrs and Macmillan T-shirts/wigs/tutus available on a first come first served basis. Refreshments en route.
As well as clocking up the miles, we are asking all participants for a £2 donation and a voluntary £5 contribution if unable to take part on the day!
Details of how HR will accumulate a ‘1000 HOURS’ and a ‘1000 VOICES’ to follow, watch this space…..
