I began busking in Boscastle in memory of my good friend Morgie. We were in a band, The Damnbuskers and had great times together. Sadly, he became seriously ill and spent time in the hospice. One day he said, “When I get out of here, we’ll raise some money for this place – they do such a brilliant job!” Sadly, he passed away so I decided to honour my promise to him busking for Cornwall Hospice Care in Boscastle harbour.   The Cornish Guardian published an article entitled,
“The Boscastle Busker raises funds for Cornwall Hospice,” and the name stuck.

I busk by the bridge in Boscastle on Sundays in summer and realised this year that people are using cards more than cash and so Cornwall Hospice care set up my “Just Giving” page so donations can be made electronically.    

Busking has opened many doors, including recording two CDs and invitations to sing in Glasgow, Gambia and Gaza and many places in between that do not begin with a G!
