As-salamu Alaykum,

This Ramadan, my sister and I have volunteered to walk 114 km each (150,000 steps) over the period of the month of Ramadan. This will be a challenge for the both of us, especially whilst fasting, so we would appreciate if you could support our sponsored walk as it is going to a great cause.

We have chosen to fundraise for Thirst Relief via Penny Appeal to build 2 Tube Water Wells costing a total of £600 (£300 each). We believe everyone should have the basic human right of clean, safe water.

‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]. 

We use water for everything, from washing dishes to cooking food to growing crops. Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘By means of water, we give life to everything’. (Qur’an, 21:30)
