Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

We have entered a team of 4 into the 2021 Manchester Battle Cancer Event, to raise money for our chosen charity - Brain Tumour Research.

Last year I was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma - an inoperable brain stem tumour). This is my second fundraising event.

"Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer."  Historically only "1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devasting disease." They are trying to change this.

The Battle Cancer Program holds many CrossFit style events around the world through the year, with the aim to raise as much money as possible for cancer charities. To date, since they started a few years ago, they have raised over £900,000 for almost 40 charities cancer charities.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Not just by me.
