Please help us raise £60,000 for Tree of Hope to help Brecon receive Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy treatment in the USA, to enable him to walk unaided.
Our son, Brecon, was born with cerebral palsy. He is now 5 years old, and in his young life has already overcome a number of hurdles. Now he wants to walk unaided.
When we heard of the work being done by Dr Park and his team in the USA to help children like Brecon, we got in touch, and we were delighted to be told that Dr Park can help us.
We now need to pay for the SDR operation, and a further orthopaedic operation to correct the stiffness in his legs. Brecon will then need intensive physiotherapy and specialist equipment when we get home. We will have to spend about a month staying near the hospital, and eventually go back for a follow up appointment.
Based on other families’ experiences, we think it will cost at least £60,000, and if you can help raise these funds, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Should we exceed the target amount (or if we do not raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason) the funds raised will go to the general funds of Tree of Hope to assist other sick children.
