My lovely Partner Leanne's step dad John is in a Dementia Care Home in Grimsby. I have seen first hand the effect that this has had on not only John but also the way it has effected the lives of Leanne, her mum Norma and Leanne's girls Amy and Lily, John's & Norma's grandchildren.

So I have decided to take part in the ''A Thought for Dementia 100K Challenge'' along with my trusty pooch Basil. I am hoping to walk at least 100k before the end of January 2022 and, if I do as well as last year, will hopefully reach 200K. Any money I can raise for Dementia UK will hopefully go some small way in providing support for John and the many other people & their families who are in a similar situation.

A Thought for Dementia - a challenge to run or walk 100 kilometres between 26th December 2021 and 31st January 2022, in aid of Dementia UK.
