Red Devil Tandom Skydive - Old Sarum Airfield Salisbury · 4 May 2017 ·

'A remarkable charity caring for remarkable people' Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) is a national charity, providing high quality, nursing care and rehabilitation for disabled ex-Service personnel in an environment they can think of as their home.

Story

In May, to Celebrate his 80th birthday, Brian has decided to do a tandem skydive with the Red Devils in-aid of The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH). Here, Brian tells us a little more...

"I have a long connection with The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home and their veterans, at the age of 17 I boxed on a show that was put on for the residents.

More recently, as the President of Surrey & Sussex PRA, I took part in a tandem jump for QAHH two years ago. When I decided to celebrate my 80th birthday with another jump, I wanted to support QAHH again as it is a very worthy cause, and if lucky, I intend to celebrate my 90th in a similar manner!"

Brian is covering all the costs of the skydive himself, so all of your donation will go towards the care of QAHH veterans.

Since 1919, QAHH has provided the highest possible standard of care and rehabilitation to our country’s disabled ex-Servicemen and women. QAHH specialises in care for those with brain injuries, neurological conditions, spinal injuries and those who have lost limbs. The Hospital Home provides services such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy in order to help rehabilitate those that live there, with the hope that they can live more mobile and independent lives.

QAHH receives no government funding and this year must raise £1.3 million to deliver the high quality care that our country’s veterans need and deserve, which is why money raised by people like Brian is vital.
