A few years ago while studying social care, I worked at a care home delivering 24 hour care to people with Dementia. I was really touched by the care of the dedicated staff, activities in place and reassuring environment the home provided. I saw how improved the quality of life can be for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia if the right resources and funding are provided.
It can make the world of difference to those affected and to their families who can often struggle to accept the changes in their dearly loved relatives. I have always wanted to raise money for this wonderful charity and now I’m delighted that I’ve got the opportunity. I’m training to run a half marathon in Bath on the 17th of March!
If you choose to sponsor me, your money will go directly towards helping people affected by Dementia and Alzheimer’s to get the support they need, and fund research into finding a cure for this disease.
