Story

This will be by second half marathon in a row, and this time I want to be raising as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, which is something that lies close to my heart.

Cancer is an awful disease than can not only have life threatening consequences by the sufferer but causes extreme emotional and stress for those that they hold near and dear to them; family and friends alike.

Organisations like Macmillan Cancer Support need us now more than ever - especially given the 2020 we would all wish to forget due to a certain pandemic. Many patients receiving cancer treatment have either been put on hold or cancelled whilst we grapple with COVID-19, so funding is needed to support the demand for ongoing cancer treatment. Moreover, the money raised will be contributed towards research to treat the disease, and hopefully in the future find a cure.

I would be most grateful if all of you out there would aid me in achieving the £2500 target prior to the race.

All donations will be welcome no matter how small or big.The training has started and hopefully I can improve on last years time - providing there are no knee injuries to grapple with.

Thanks for reading.
