Story

I am lacing up my running shoes not only to honour the memory of my beloved family members who all bravely lost their battles with cancer, but also to celebrate the incredible strength and resilience of my mom who fought and won her battle against cancer

This journey is not just a physical one but is a powerful testament to all of them and the lasting impact it had on me.

Those I’m running in memory of were remarkable individuals who filled my life with love wisdom and joy. Seeing them confront cancer with grace and courage taught me invaluable life lessons about resilience and the power of love. This marathon is my way of paying homage to their memory and cherishing the beautiful moments we shared, as I know they will be watching over me with pride as I cross the finish line.

Additionally, my mom's battle with cancer was a defining moment in our lives. Witnessing her strength, determination, and unwavering spirit throughout the treatment process was both awe-inspiring and humbling. It was her determination which got her through one of the toughest times in her and our lives. My mom's resilience and triumph over cancer serve as a constant reminder that hope and determination can overcome even the most daunting challenges. By dedicating this marathon to her, I aim to spread awareness about cancer, the importance of early detection, and the critical need to support ongoing research and initiatives for those currently battling the disease.

Your support means the world to me. Whether it's a word of encouragement, a donation to the cause, or simply cheering me on from the sidelines, every bit of support helps fuel my determination to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer. Together, we can turn this marathon into a celebration of life, love, and hope for a brighter future.

As I prepare to face the challenges that lie ahead, I carry the spirit of all my family members no longer with us in my heart, knowing that they are with me every step of the way and my mom happily cheering me on, on the sidelines.

Thank you for being a part of this journey and for supporting me as I run for my family and for all those who have been affected by cancer. Together, we can create a world where no family has to suffer the pain of losing a loved one to this terrible disease.
