I would like to introduce you to a ministry that is near and dear to my heart. Hope Haven Rwanda is a non-profit that operates a preschool, primary and secondary school just outside the capital of Kigali in a small rural village called Murindi. Until 2012, the people of Murindi had no school and no hope for the future of their children. Thanks to the efforts of many, the community of Murindi is now home to a thriving and vibrant school that serves not just the children but is dramatically changing the landscape of the entire community – physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Freedom and I have been manifesting an opportunity to serve and volunteer in vulnerable communities on an international trip together and were drawn to Hope Haven's mission over a year ago. We are excited to be able to travel as a mom and son duo, with a small team, this summer to learn, serve, and experience Africa for the first time.
