The Psoriasis Association helps people with psoriasis by providing up-to-date and reliable information via two websites, social media and helplines, working nationally to raise standards of patient care and improve education about psoriasis. The Charity funds vital research projects.

Story

Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that has been affecting me and other members of my family for many many years. Apart from the visible physical effects, psoriasis can also affect the mental health of the patient. It can affect the joints as well (psoriatic arthritis), which is a condition difficult to diagnose. There's no cure for psorasis, although there are treatments which can help control most of the symptoms. As the condition is determined by the genes, we can't get rid of it but have to live with it.

I'll be running (or trying to run) the 10K for the first time in support of the Psoriasis Association. Any help to this cause can have a positive impact on the lives of those affected by psoriasis.

And please remember, psoriasis is not contagious.
