Bryan's Full distance duathlon

Full distance duathlon · 28 November 2020
As an ex-squadie I am raising money for Combat Stress to highlight that the military have had to deal with mental health issues for many, many years & not just during lockdown.
With that in mind I have decided to challenge myself to complete a full distance duathlon on Saturday 28th November, which means a 10K run followed straight away with a 180K bike followed by a marathon all within 17 hours. I have never done a full distance before (but I have completed a quite a few 1/2 Iron triathlons, cos im good at swimming) in fact I have never cycled further than 105K, so this is going to be a real struggle for me but this is nothing compared to what many service personnel have to deal with every day.
In the spirit of the Covid guidelines I am going to be running locally with the bike completed on a dumb turbo trainer, no fancy ride along the famous routes of the world for me.....that would be too easy :)
To put these distances into perspective it would be like running from Stonehaven to Portlethen then cycling to Inverness & then completing the Inverness marathon all within 17 hours
I've set my total at £232 as that works out a £1 per Km.
