As part of Building Blocks 15 year anniversary we wanted to celebrate this time we have had the privilege of providing excellence in care and education to hundreds of children. We wanted to celebrate not just as a company but based upon one of the fundamental values Building Blocks was founded upon, that of community and parental involvement. In saying we, I mean the Building Blocks community, staff, parents, and of course children. Born Too Soon was chosen from charities suggested to us by our parents and staff as our worthy local charity we could make a difference to. Born Too Soon is an amazing charity that has helped thousands of babies born at the hospital over the past 30 or so years. The charity not  only helps to fund vital equipment for premature babies but also for equipment for babies born with other difficulties or illnesses, in addition to giving help and support to parents in the is most difficult time.
We hope to raise £5000 this year through a number of endeavours which we will post details of. In addition to the above upcoming events Philip Ashton the Director of Building Blocks will attempt to climb Chimborazo in Ecuador, the 'highest' mountain in the world (closest to space as opposed to height above sea level) in August. The training has started, flights are booked, local mountain guides engaged. Further expedition planning is now taking place, so watch this space.
