Story
I am just a normal person that has been staying at home during the pandemic, to support the NHS to save lives. Our NHS doctors, nurses and support staff, and other keyworkers are heroes.
There has been a breakthrough today (30/12/20) with new a vaccine approved, and the UK Government has ordered 100 million doses.
The reported cost of the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine is only £3 per person, so I am inviting everyone to join me in donating £3 to the NHS to cover the cost of their own vaccination.
£3 is less than the cost of a cup of coffee, a pint of lager, a box of chocolates and many other things we would spend money on during everyday life without giving it a second thought.
If you are able to give more then £3, then please do as your donation will go directly to the NHS and help support the cost of vaccines for others.
This is not a political cause. I understand that some do not want to receive the vaccine and do not have faith in this Government. However, it is clear that the NHS is facing serious challenges, not only with COVID, but with catching up on other cancelled and delayed treatments as a result of pandemic. Supporting the NHS should be something which unites us all.
If your individual choice is that you do not want to receive the vaccine, then perhaps you can view your £3 donation as a contribution to help restore our National Health Service to how it was pre-COVID.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will join me in making a small contribution to support the NHS.
